Many people ask me, "What does the Eight Bar B stand for?"
The original owners last name was Bell and there were eight of
them at the time. Therefore the name of the motel--Eight Bar Bells
or Eight Bar B.
Later the owners had a new child by the name of Billy. The
restaurant next to us was named after him--Billy Burgers.
The owners also owned the RV park behind us, which was
named Bell RV Park. At the time the motel was built the Bell
family owned the RV park, the motel and the restaurant.
The Eight Bar B Motel was built in the mid 1950's. We try to keep
the nostalgia alive by keeping our prices down and offering
'Magic Fingers' (bed massage) in each room. We are one of the
few motels that still have this benefit. We are also a family
business and hope that those who stay here will feel at home.
